Cape Town, September 13 --­ Well-known Afrikaans singer, Steve Hofmeyr, found himself in the hot seat on Tuesday, at the country's first-ever comedy roast.

Hofmeyr was publicly subjected to personal jokes and jabs aimed at him by a selected group of South African celebrities.

Hofmeyr says he took anger management classes in preparation for the roast.
